Danna McKitrick, PC, is pleased to announce the election of Katherine M. Flett and Lauren L. Wood to the position of principal, effective Sept. 1, 2022.
“We are fortunate to have two outstanding attorneys now principals of our firm,” said Ron Danna, senior principal and co-founder of the firm. “They are exceptional attorneys, and each brings their individual strengths to our clients, offering thoughtful and strategic guidance no matter the client or legal need.”
Flett primarily focuses on assisting businesses with matters related to employment, real estate, transportation and trucking, insurance defense, and bankruptcy. She proactively advises clients to avoid or minimize litigation and draws on her experience as a litigator when necessary to vigorously represent her clients’ interests.
“From day one, Danna McKitrick has made me feel at home by supporting me, fostering my professional and personal growth, and challenging me to achieve things that I never could on my own. It is truly the people who make this firm the great place that it is, and I am honored beyond measure to be elected as principal,” said Flett.
An experienced litigator in trial practice and appellate work, Wood’s primary focus is civil litigation, including business litigation, employment-related litigation, insurance matters, professional liability defense, and personal injury. She also defends health care professionals facing discipline from licensing agencies in Missouri and Illinois.
“It is an honor to be elected principal by colleagues who I admire and respect so much. I am excited to continue serving our clients alongside them as a principal in the firm,” said Wood.
Flett graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from Lindenwood University (2012) and earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law (2015). She is the secretary for the St. Charles Regional Chamber Board of Directors and mentoring co-chair for the Professional Women's Alliance Board of Directors.
Wood graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a B.A. in art history and archaeology (2005). She earned her Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law (2005). Wood is a volunteer with Great Rivers Environmental Law Center. She is a member of the Webster Groves/Shrewsbury/Rock Hill Chamber of Commerce and the West County Chamber of Commerce.
