Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C., is pleased to announce that the firm has received a 2020 Cigna Well-Being Award in recognition of the firm’s significant efforts to enhance employee wellness.

The award mirrors Greensfelder’s selection earlier this year by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the Healthiest Employers across the St. Louis region.

“The health and well-being of all our employees and their families are of utmost importance at Greensfelder,” said Greensfelder President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin T. McLaughlin. “We are gratified that our ongoing efforts in this area have been recognized by the Cigna Well-Being Award program.”

The Cigna Well-Being Award recognizes employers that have succeeded at building a culture of well-being that has positively impacted employee health. The selection process evaluates areas including leadership support for employee wellness initiatives and company policies and programs that support a culture of well-being. Cigna notes that the award recipients are organizations that have made well-being “part of their business philosophy.”

Led by Greensfelder Human Resources Manager Jessie Fenton, the firm’s Well-Being Program launched in early 2019. The comprehensive program aims to increase the overall well-being of all firm employees through opportunities offered in the areas of physical, financial, emotional and social health. Benefits of the program have included healthy food in the offices, wellness prizes and challenges, yoga and meditation classes, and educational programs.
