Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of Senior Associate Jenna M. Lakamp to the firm’s Litigation practice group.

Lakamp focuses her practice in the areas of employment and education. She represents both private and public companies of all sizes in a variety of employment-related disputes. She regularly litigates in both state and federal courts in Missouri and Illinois and has extensive experience with complex e-discovery issues. Lakamp also provides counseling to clients on day-to-day employment matters, with the goal of preventing litigation. Using her experiences as a litigator, she has also conducted both internal and external investigations for clients into claims of discrimination and hostile workplace practices.

Seyferth Blumenthal & Harris LLC (SBH) is pleased to announce John Bullock has joined the firm as a partner. 
Bullock brings with him 30 years of experience in private practice handling a wide variety of matters, including complex business litigation, personal injury defense and employment litigation. 
In addition, Bullock has an active appellate practice, having briefed and argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and Kansas and Missouri appellate courts. 
With experience in legal venues across the country, Bullock has acted as lead or co-lead counsel in numerous trials, arbitrations, governmental hearings and other contested proceedings.

In addition to his diverse litigation practice, Bullock regularly counsels employers on complex matters of employment law, such as state and federal anti-discrimination laws, FMLA and wage and hour issues, as well as defending charges, claims and lawsuits in employment cases. 

“John’s depth of experience in trial and appellate litigation is a perfect fit for SBH. We continue to focus on handling our clients’ most complex challenges, including labor and employment matters, with efficiency,” said Kimberly Jones, SBH managing partner. “John’s experience in trial counsel roles makes him a strong addition to our firm and the unique practices we’ve developed. Bullock completed his undergraduate studies at Kansas State University and later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law.


Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice is pleased to announce the election of Nick Ruble to Member, effective January 1, 2024.

Ruble, a civil litigation defense attorney based in the Kansas City office, has a wealth of experience in employment, labor, business and personal injury law. He serves as Vice Chair of the Baker Sterchi Employment & Labor Practice Group and a member of both the Recruiting & Retention Committee and the Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

In addition to his contributions within the firm, Ruble is a Steering Committee Member of the ALFA International Labor & Employment Practice Group, Co-Vice Chair of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Labor & Employment Committee, and a regular speaker on employment and labor issues

Ruble earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Kansas.
