Nathan Carroll joins McCausland Barrett & Bartalos PC’s St. Louis office. Carroll has been an associate in the firm’s Kansas City office since August 2020. As a native of Perryville, the move brings Carroll closer to home and helps with the firm’s growing St. Louis office.
Capes Sokol is proud to welcome Stephen M. Hoeplinger as counsel in the firm’s litigation practice group. Hoeplinger has a diverse legal background and a understanding of commercial, real estate, and employment litigation, representing both businesses and individuals.
“Steve is an experienced and accomplished litigator,” said Traci D. Pupillo, a member of the litigation practice group. “He combines a thorough knowledge of the law with a keen sense of strategy to get outstanding results for clients. We are excited to add him to Capes Sokol’s commercial litigation team.”
Prior to his current role, Hoeplinger served as an assistant attorney general with the Missouri Attorney General’s Office. There, he held the position of a unit leader in the litigation section, focusing on consumer protection, employment, and civil rights litigation. He represented the State of Missouri in federal and state courts, leading teams of lawyers and achieving outstanding outcomes across various cases.

Hoeplinger received his law degree from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2009.
