Thompson Coburn announced today that Becky Christensen has joined its Labor & Employment practice as a partner in St. Louis. Christensen brings nearly 15 years of experience advising clients on employment law matters and employment litigation. Her arrival follows the recent addition of employee benefits and ERISA attorney Michael Graham in Chicago as the firm continues to expand its Labor & Employment team nationwide.
Christensen regularly counsels employers on issues related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Missouri Human Rights Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Family and Medical Leave Act and other state and federal laws governing employment. Furthermore, she advises employers through investigations, policy creation and enforcement, and other day-to-day concerns. In litigation, Christensen handles cases involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and unfair competition. She has successfully represented clients in federal, state and appellate courts, as well as before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Missouri Commission on Human Rights and the Illinois Department of Human Rights. Christensen also has extensive experience managing forensic investigations and large ESI and document review projects.

Christensen partners with employers to proactively ensure compliance and avoid disputes. She advises on employee discipline and termination, workplace safety, employee handbooks and disability accommodation requests and has significant experience with non-competition agreements and other restrictive covenants. Christensen routinely works with clients to resolve complaints at the administrative level to avoid litigation, and defends clients when litigation becomes necessary.

Kansas City
Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice is pleased to announce the addition of two attorneys in Kansas City. Stewart Bogart and Bradley Harris have joined the firm as senior attorneys.
Bogart has extensive experience representing both large and small businesses in the construction, trucking, finance and insurance industries. Bogart earned his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas.
Harris’s practice focuses on personal injury defense, premises liability and product liability. He obtained his law degree from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, and is licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas.

She brings a collaborative approach to complex and contentious litigation that strategically builds on her proactive and effective legal processes.
In addition to her business litigation experience, Gueye has previously helped navigate matters related to white-collar investigations and defenses, contract disputes, and labor and employment law.

Prior to graduating law school, Gueye served multiple stints as a private practice and judicial intern as well as a law clerk to the Hon. Roseann A. Ketchmark of the Western District of Missouri, gaining valuable insights across a wide spectrum of civil and criminal litigation matters.
Gueye completed two undergraduate degrees at Rockhurst University before earning her Juris Doctor at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law.
