St. Louis

Affinity Law Group, LLC, a St. Louis-based boutique business, estate planning and employment law firm, recently announced that Jennifer Goltermann joined the firm as of counsel.

Goltermann will focus her legal practice on employment and labor law. She will counsel clients on matters ranging from wage and hour issues, discrimination and harassment claims, and human resources policies and best practices.

Prior to joining the firm, Goltermann worked at Littler Mendelson, PC and Thompson Coburn LLP.

“We are thrilled to have Jennifer join Affinity Law Group. She brings a depth of experience in labor and employment law that is crucial for our clients to succeed in the complicated business environment,” said Kathleen Bilderback, founding member of the firm.

Goltermann earned a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and a B.A. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She is licensed in Missouri and Illinois.


Morgan & Morgan announced that it has hired lawyers Ryan Gavin and Austin Raboin based in the firm’s St. Louis office.

“We are excited to welcome Ryan and Austin to our firm. They are both highly skilled trial attorneys and will be invaluable as we expand our presence in the Midwest,” said the firm's founder, John Morgan.

Gavin’s primary focus will be on nursing home abuse and a wide range of personal injury and medical malpractice cases. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri – St. Louis and earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, he spent 22 years defending insurance companies, corporations, and health care providers in medical malpractice and personal injury cases.

“I’m excited for this new chapter in my career at Morgan & Morgan where I can use my insight as a former defense attorney to secure justice for our injured clients during some of the most difficult times in their lives,” said Gavin. “I look forward to helping grow the firm’s record of success here in St. Louis.”

Raboin’s primary focus will be workers’ compensation cases. Prior to joining the firm, his experience included working with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, OSHA defense and personal injury practice.

Raboin received his undergraduate degree from Judson University and his J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law.


Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce John Klevorn has joined the corporate and business transactions practice group as a partner in the firm’s St. Louis office.

Klevorn focuses his practice on corporate law, real estate and taxation, and he has built significant experience in M&A transactions; real estate transactions; and federal, state and local tax credits and development incentives. He regularly assists clients craft complex executive compensation packages, including the review and preparation of various deferred compensation and stock incentive plans.

With clients ranging from tax credit investors and developers to various commercial enterprises, Klevorn has successfully structured and represented for-profit and nonprofit entities in various business and real estate transactions.

Klevorn completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri and went on to earn his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law.

Kansas City

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Lindsay Doman has joined the banking and financial services practice group as an associate in the firm’s Kansas City office, with an emphasis in the firm’s bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors’ rights practice.

Most recently, Doman spent two years as a judicial law clerk for Judge Brian Fenimore, chief bankruptcy judge in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Missouri. Her duties included researching legal issues in Chapter 7, 11, 12 and 13 bankruptcy cases, drafting documents and summarizing motions, briefs, relevant case law and other materials relevant to the judge’s ruling.

Doman completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin and later earned her J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law. At Wisconsin, she participated in the Consumer Law Clinic, and during law school, she clerked for a Minneapolis law firm.

In addition, Doman has spent time as a clinical assistant with the Bankruptcy Advice Clinic for the Volunteer Lawyers Network.


Other Areas of the State

Governor Mike Parson appointed Brendon Fox of Rolla to the Coroner Standards and Training Commission. 

Fox was elected to serve as the Phelps County Prosecuting Attorney and has served in that capacity since 2015. He first joined the Phelps County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office as an assistant prosecutor in 2011. Previously, he was a civil and criminal defense lawyer with Beger & Bushie, LLC.

Fox earned a B.A. in both sociology and art history from Stanford University and a J.D. from the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law.
